Bloatware is the pre-installed software on your device. It will be present on your smartphones and computers. Windows 10 comes with a large amount of bloatware that are preinstalled into the devices, even if the user does not need them. Such software will take most of the disk space on the computer, and sometimes they might run in the background and cause your PC to slow down. If you want your computer to run fast and free up space, it is recommended to remove bloatware from your device. To do so, follow the below instructions.

UNINSTALL FROM THE START MENU

  • Select the Windows logo at the bottom-left corner of the window.
  • Here, you will see all the installed applications and software on your computer.
  • Navigate to the application you want to remove from your Windows 10 computer and right-click on it.
  • Now, select the Uninstall option from the pop-up menu.

  • Now, search for the Control Panel option in the search bar.
  • Click the Control Panel option from the search result.
  • Select the Programs option from the Control Panel window.
  • Click the Programs & Features option from the list.

  • Click on the Uninstall option.
  • Now, again click on the Uninstall button in the confirmation dialog box.

  • Now, type Windows PowerShell in the search bar at the bottom of the window.
  • Select the Windows PowerShell option from the search result and click on the Run as Administrator option from the right side of your window.
  • In case the “User Account Control” dialog box appears on the screen, select Yes.
  • Now, the PowerShell window will appear on the screen.
  • So, enter the following command to delete the app from your computer.
  • Get-AppxPackage *appName* | Remove-AppxPackage

  • Here, replace appName with the application name you want to delete from your computer.
  • Follow these instructions to delete any other apps from your Windows 10 computer.

DELETE USING DISM

  • Select the search bar and type PowerShell into the respective field.
  • Choose the Windows PowerShell option from the search result and click Run as Administrator from the right side of the window.
  • Now, Windows PowerShell will appear on the screen.
  • Enter the following command to get the entire list of system bloatware on your computer.

DISM /Online /Get-ProvisionedAppxPackages | select-string Packagename

  • Here, copy the PackageName of the app you wish to delete.
  • Next, type the DISM /Online /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:PACKAGENAME command into the respective place. Here, replace the PACKAGENAME with the actual name of the package you have copied.
  • If you want to delete any other application, follow the same instructions.
